Chapter 49
Roxanne
Goosebumps rise all over my body as I see him. Fear tugs my heart as my widened brown eyes clash with his grey ones. My stomach twisted in terror as I registered his angry and aghast face. I clench my palm in a fist. His big palm on my shoulder starts hitting up.
“What the hell were you thinking by running like that?" He shouts and I flinch. I clench my fist to stop it from trembling. The sound of his voice felt distant but it still has that sense of familiarity.
I blink my eyes as he kept asserting, “You could have endangered yourself along with our children." Instantly I get aware of the placement of his hand.
And that breaks me out of my daze as I shout, “They are not your children."
